Seeing the prices of old Mu-Tron products on the “vintage” market, it seemed a worthwhile idea to re-animate the product line. Taking advantage of modern components and manufacturing techniques, I developed the Tru-Tron 3X, then the Octave Divider, the BoosTron 3 and (next) the Phasor2X. New Mu-FX Tru-Tron 3X. Envelope controlled filters have been used by musicians since 1972 when Mike Beigel invented and patented the circuitry and form of the now-familiar product. We are accustomed to thinking of them, and using them, as ‘automatic wah-wah pedals’.
